What Is It?

Ceramic Coating, Explained

How it works

Ceramic coating is a liquid polymer applied by hand after machine polishing, which chemically bonds to your car's paintwork. Once cured, it forms a hard, glossy protective layer over the paint.

What it protects against

Light scratches, swirl marks and wash marring, plus UV damage, bird droppings, tree sap and everyday chemical contamination — while increasing paint depth and gloss, and making the car noticeably easier to keep clean.

Why it's not sold on its own

Ceramic coating locks in whatever the paint looks like underneath it. That's why it's only ever applied straight after a Single Stage or Two Stage machine polish, rather than sold as a standalone add-on to any valet.

Backed by a warranty

Our 7-year ceramic coating is backed by a manufacturer warranty (7 years / 70,000 miles), giving you documented peace of mind long after the visit.

Glass & wheel coating too

The same protection is available for glass (+£80) and alloy wheel faces (+£80) as add-ons alongside your paintwork coating — both included as standard, at 7 year grade, with New Car Protection.

Getting a detail every 6–12 months anyway? The protection included as standard does the job without paying for years you won't use. Want long-term protection, or won't be detailing again for a while? The 7 year upgrade is worth the extra £200. Got a brand new car? New Car Protection includes the 7 year coating as standard — no upgrade needed.

Prices above are guide prices by vehicle size, not fixed prices — the final price can vary depending on your vehicle’s condition (heavy soiling, pet hair, mould, or an especially intricate vehicle), and is always agreed with you before any work begins. See our Terms & Conditions for details.
